I believe that the greatest lessons in life are learned during the greatest difficulties that we face. During these times, we should ask ourselves, "How can I make it through this and become a better person?" That question puts the focus on me rather than on the issue. If we stay focused on the issues, it is nearly impossible to learn life's lessons.

As I look back over my life, I am reminded of the many times when I was challenged emotionally, professionally, spiritually, and physically. There were, in fact, many times when I felt like I was at the end of the road with no options left but to quit. I look back now and I laugh at how fragile I was, but at the time, the issues were very real and very scary. What I have learned is that there is really nothing that can't be overcome with time as your friend and God as your source - all things are possible!

I have had, and still have, a deep conviction to serve others...and I guess that comes from my mother, who taught me as a little girl to put others first and yourself last.

What difficulties are you going through? Always keep your eyes open to the lessons you can learn, and how you can become a better person through it all.
