The Ingredient that Many People Are Missing

I once heard an employer say to his employees, "If you're not fired up with enthusiasm, you may be fired with enthusiasm..."

Enthusiasm is a special ingredient that everyone needs; yet one that many people in business and life are missing. I believe a man can succeed at anything for which he has enthusiasm. We see enthusiasm displayed in sporting events, the entertainment world and parties. I believe the business world lacks enthusiasm. In fact, when we see enthusiasm displayed in the marketplace, we often scratch our heads and wonder what the problem is.

Enthusiasm lifts life out of the ordinary and makes it mean something. Our purpose in life is to live, not merely exist.

If you have set goals, enthusiasm is necessary to reach them. There are many benefits to being enthusiastic. You will experience more happiness and better health. You will be more energetic and effedtive. You will be more productive and less bored.

Maybe you have lost your enthusiasm because of the long, hot summer. It could be that relational problems have caused you to lose your excitement for life. Ask yourself these questions:

When was the last time you were really excited about something?

Do your employees or friends see you as hard to get along with, never smiling, never encouraging, always negative?

If so, check your attitude and decide to make the necessary adjustments to gain enthusiasm.

  1. Oh, so true.. In April, I was so down on everything - I looked at my fat body, I hurt all over, literally, had just been dx. with myofacial pain syndrome, had been dealing with fibromyalgia for about 20 yrs along with bad back, everything was getting worse, my legs had swollen up. I was to a Ken Davis program in April and he talked about the FAT part and that struck a cord in me. I realized that the LORD and I were the ones that had to deal with that and I can tell you that the 35 pounds off and the ENTHUSIASM that has returned to my life has been incredible. The LORD has lifted me out of my pits... I have been going for some physical therapy to help the back pain and yes I do have to have spinal surgery for severe spinal stenosis the end of the year but I want to do as much as possible for myself before that time. Much prayers and Our Lord we see me through. Thank you for this encouraging word. This entire post 'The Ingredient that Many People Are Missing' should be used by every employer.....
May the Lord continue to Bless you in your ministry,
    Jane
